The Clentify workmanship guarantee
Done right, or made right.
Confirm completion only when you’re satisfied. After that, every job stays covered for 30 days — repair, redo, or refund, up to the full price you paid for the job.
Full price
Workmanship claims are covered up to the full price you paid for the job.
30 days
Claim window after you confirm completion.
100%
Released to your pro only on your confirmation.
Paid on your say-so
Your pro is paid only when you confirm the job's done.
When you book, you pay for the job up front — but your pro isn't paid yet. Payment is released only on one of three outcomes: you confirm completion and it goes to the pro; a dispute resolves and it's split per the resolution; or the booking is cancelled and the cancellation policy you saw at booking applies. Your protection throughout is the Clentify Guarantee.
Approved extra charges follow the same rules. There is no “pay half up front,” no cash on the doorstep, and no chasing anyone for a refund — nothing is released to the pro until the job is settled.
Released to your pro when you confirm

Disputes
If you disagree, the money freezes first.
The money freezes
Either side opens a dispute during the inspection window. The payment locks immediately — nobody is paid while it's open.
Evidence, not arguments
AI reviews the claim against the job spec, photos, message history, and completion evidence.
A reasoned recommendation
Release, partial refund, or full refund — with a confidence score and a full reasoning trace. Uncertain cases go straight to a human reviewer.
The money moves once
High-confidence outcomes apply automatically, with a 48-hour human-override window. The resolution settles the payment; every step is logged and auditable.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
What does the guarantee cover?
Workmanship on jobs booked and paid through Clentify — work that doesn't match the agreed job spec, or fails within the claim window. Coverage is capped at the full price you paid for the job. It doesn't cover work arranged off-platform or damage unrelated to the job.
How long am I covered?
For 30 days after you confirm completion. Inside that window, open a claim from the booking and we'll arrange a repair, redo, or refund up to the cap.
When is my card charged, and when does the pro get paid?
Your card is charged when you book, but your pro isn't paid yet. Payment is released to the pro only after you confirm the job is done right (or the 72-hour auto-confirm passes with no action from you). Your protection comes from the Clentify Guarantee.
What if the pro asks for more money mid-job?
Any additional charge — materials, scope changes — must be requested in-app and approved by you before it can be billed. Charges you never approved are never owed.
What happens when I open a dispute?
The payment freezes immediately — nobody gets paid while it's open. AI reviews the evidence against the job spec and recommends releasing the payment, a partial refund, or a full refund under the Guarantee. High-confidence outcomes apply automatically with a 48-hour human-override window; anything uncertain goes to a human reviewer.
Are disputes decided by AI?
An automated (AI) review takes the first pass: it weighs your claim, the job spec, photos, message history, and completion evidence against the Guarantee and recommends releasing the payment, a partial refund, or a full refund. High-confidence recommendations apply automatically, but only after a 48-hour window in which a Clentify team member can step in; anything less certain is reviewed by a person before it takes effect. You can always ask for a human to review your case.
Can I get a partial refund?
Yes. Dispute outcomes aren't all-or-nothing: if most of the job was done right, the resolution can release part of the payment to the pro and refund the rest to you under the Guarantee.
